Welcome to our COVID Wellness Series

We are launching this wellness series to support our patients and community during these challenging times.

Part 1: Pandemic Fatigue and Wellness

This session talks about mental health during COVID-19 and offers tips for coping strategies.

Part 2: Keeping Connected in COVID-19 will launch Dec 18.

This session talks about the importance of maintaining social supports particularily around the holiday season.

This session is about interaction and socialization during COVID-19, particularly within the holiday season. Ways to keep connected with family, and to enjoy new and old traditions are shared.

Part 3: Understanding Anger, Coping Skills and Healthy Thinking

This session of the COVID Wellness Series focuses on our thought processes in reaction to external events. Anger will be discussed with the goal in mind to change our thoughts to those that are more helpful, and to react to our anger in a healthier way. Coping mechanisms will be discussed, as well as grounding techniques for when we are in the moment. Finally, multiple types of distorted thinking will be defined and how they impact our view of the world in either a more positive or negative way. Challenging these thoughts will be described for future practice!

Part 4: Health Eating, Exercise and Sleep

Hello everyone! Today's video is all about healthy eating, living well, and sleep. We will address dieting and the toxicity of diet culture. Tips for a more balanced way of eating are provided. Overall physical health and tricks for keeping exercise fun and different are also shared! Finally, the importance of sleep hygiene is defined. How to get a good night's sleep is discussed at length. I hope that this brings you all closer to achieving personal goals in a more sustainable, fun way.
