Childhood Immunization
The publicly funded immunization schedule for children is updated regularly. A child’s Immunization Record is maintained by Public Health and information about how to report your child’s immunization information is available on their website.
Adult and Travel Immunization
Additional immunization is available to adults and to prepare for travel to a foreign country. Contact the North Bay Parry Sound District Health Unit if you need or have questions about these immunizations.
Influenza Immunization
Seasonal influenza vaccination begins in the fall, typically October or November, as vaccine is made available through the North Bay Parry Sound District Health Unit. Patients can receive their influenza vaccine at the Powassan & Area Family Health Team clinics, Public Health flu clinics offered in the community and many pharmacies also offer flu shots during flu season. Check with your local pharmacist.
